HAve you owned a G27? If so can you compare both feeling wise?

That shifter will break.. When it does, replace it with a thrustmaster TH8. You won’t be disappointed.

They’re supposed to be identical hardware wise from what i know, it’s only the buttons moved to the wheel instead of the shifter

Ok, interesting... No real need to get one for someone who owns a G27 then...

No I haven’t, I always played with a joypad and wanted to try it for a while. I hesitated between this one and the Thrustmaster T300RS. Reviews say this one has a better pedal/wheel balance, meaning the T300RS has a better wheel, but shitty pedals. Also, this one has 3 pedals, and 3 is one better than 2 (And it was (relatively) cheap thanks to Amazon deals).
The same reviews also say it feels similar to the G27.

The g29/920 is supported under the new logitech gaming software, while the g27 goes under the logitech profiler. Also it’s xbox/ps4 supported, unlike the g27. Don’t recall there being much different use-wise between my g27 and friends g29.
OH, only thing is the brake pedal! the g29 has a firm rubber bottom you hit, which increases braking force alot if you calibrate it to use that, and also avoids bottoming out/hitting the stop like the g27 does.

I didn’t really look into the shifter, it was more of a “this shifter goes with this wheel” thing, at least I won’t have any compatibility issues.

Yes, a pedal update is good with the G27... Fanatec does great stuff at decent prices if you want to check it out.

I’ve heard of progressive spring upgrades and what not aswell. bought mine secondhand for 150$, new/fanatec was just too expensive to afford....

I guess it depends on what you’re using it for. Console or PC? If PC, the Thrustmaster one just plugs in via USB and if you had to buy the shifter separately, it might be worth returning. Mine broke in a few months. Been using my Thrustmaster for about three years.

The G27 isn’t compatible with the PS4 though

I’ll use it on PS3 and PS4. I’m not much of a pc gamer.
I’ll try it, if it feels weak, I’ll return it.

I’m not much of a gamer at all, but I love iRacing. The snootier iRacing users insist it’s not a game - it’s a sim. They have a point.

Yeah but PS3 and PS4 aren’t compatible with triple screen setup, nor do they have any decent proper simulation so... :)

True, but I’m more of a console player. I have a small appartment, and no space for a proper PC setup.
